One of the toughest materials known to man, titanium products boast an extremely high strength to weight ratio. Beyond being durable and lightweight compared to other materials, titanium has a few other admirable characteristics. It’s non-reactive, and therefore non-corrosive. This means it won’t rust or tarnish like other metallic products. It’s also very heat resistant and won’t release toxic chemicals when heated. Yes, it’s completely non-toxic and totally bio-compatible. For this reason it’s used extensively in prosthetics and medical instruments.
